           3   SIR WYN WILLIAMS:  Good afternoon, everyone.  Today we were

           4       due to hear evidence from Mr Ben Foat, the Group General

           5       Counsel of Post Office Limited.  Unfortunately, that

           6       cannot take place because the member of the Inquiry

           7       counsel team who was due to question Mr Foat is unwell.

           8       I was informed of this earlier this morning and Mr Beer

           9       KC and I took the view that counsel was not fit to

          10       conduct a lengthy questioning session and that it was

          11       not practicable for another member of the counsel team

          12       to take over at very short notice.

          13           Unfortunately, therefore, to repeat: today's

          14       evidence session cannot take place.  Arrangements will

          15       be made in due course for receiving Mr Foat's evidence

          16       and all Core Participants and members of the public will

          17       be given notice of the relevant arrangements as soon as

          18       that can be done practicably.

          19           So thank you very much, we will adjourn now and

          20       resume again at 9.45 tomorrow morning with the evidence

          21       of Mr Day.
